Hot-water storage apparatus; steam regenerative accumulators.-The whole or part of the hot water from a boiler economizer is collected in a storage chamber under a pressure lower than the boiler pressure. The chamber serves as a lowpressure steam regenerative accumulator and receives excess hot water and steam from the boilers, engines and other steam consumers in the plant. Excess water from an economizer 1 passes into a storage chamber 4 consisting of two interconnected drums through a pipe 5. Hot water or steam from other parts of the plant enters the chamber through a pipe 13. Low-pressure steam taken from the chamber is passed through a dryer 12. Hot water withdrawn from the chamber through a pipe 8 is supplied either directly or through the economizer to the boilers or other hotwater consumers. In a modification, two economizers working at different pressures and connected together through a pump are each connected to the low-pressure storage chamber.
