Abstract
199,039. Erste Br³nner Maschinen- Fabriks-Ges. June 8, 1922, [Convention date]. Motor power plant.- Intermittently-working steam engines d, d1 for use as winding engines, steam hammers &c. are introduced between the stages a, b, c of a turbine so as to be driven by the entire flow of the motive fluid, or by a portion of it, various combinations being effected by manipulation of the valves k, k1, o, o1' In a modification live steam may also be supplied directlty to the steam engine, which then works in parallel with the turbine. Superheaters or heat accumulators may be placed between the steam engine and the turbine statges. Exhaust steam from the engine d, Fig. 5, may flow by way of a valve s to the turbine stage c, or by way of a valve t and a heat accumulator v to further points of consumption.
