201,891. Anderhub, W. Aug. 4, 1922, [Convention date]. Motor power plant.-In a turbine unit for use with a steam-turbine driven locomotive, the steam passing through the ahead turbine 1 is divided in front of the last stage 9 into two portions, one of which impinges on the remaining runner 9 in the same casing, while the second portion passes through a pipe 11 to act upon a runner-wheel 12, within the astern turbine casing 13. The astern turbine 2 and the runner-wheel 12 both exhaust into a common space 15. A shut-off valve is inserted in the pipe 11 so that the runner 12 may be cut out when working under partial loads.
