Magnetos, driving.-Driving-mechanism for an ignition magneto having an oscillatory armature comprises a lever e secured to one end of the armature spindle and a spiral or other spring d which is situated parallel with the axis of rotation of the armature and is deflected laterally when the lever is moved. The lever is provided with a pair of slots g at right angles to each other which receive the T-shaped ends of the tappet i. The tappet can thus be secured to the lever in any one of four positions.
