Abstract
137,855. Bosch Akt.-Ges., R. Oct. 17, 1918, [Convention date]. Magneto-electric machines.-In a magneto having a fly-wheel magnet a and armatures b, c 180 degrees apart, the high and low tension windings being connected in series, means are provided for alternately short-circuiting the high-tension leads o, p leading to the plugs of a two-stroke two-cylinder engine. A segment mounted on and rotating with the fly-wheel a makes contact alternately with the brushes k, l connected to the leads o, p, thereby suppressing the discharge which would otherwise occur at the beginning of the cornpression stroke.
