Abstract

192,388. Bohnert, C. & W. Jan. 26, 1922, [Convention date]. Pivoting adjustments.-In an adjustable table stand or wall bracket for electric lamps in which a conical friction joint is provided between the base and the lamp-supporting stem, the joint is provided with pin-and-slot means for locking the screw passing through the two parts of the joint to the movable part so as to prevent the joint working loose. The base f of the fitting is provided with an internally coned part a which receives an externally coned part b provided on the lower end of the lamp-supporting stem g. The parts a, b are maintained in frictional engagement by a headed screw d and nut m, the screw being slotted to receive a pin o for locking it to the part b. Holes p, r are provided in the parts a, b respectively to permit the passage of the electric leads s through the joint.
