Abstract

A luminaire is assembled from a lower part (10) having power supply devices (43) and from a lamp housing (11), the two being connected by an articulation. In order to achieve that the lamp housing (11) remains unchanged in each position with reference to the lower part (10), and that, in addition, effective installation is also possible, there is arranged on the lower part (10) a conical surface (21) which interacts with a mating cone (34) on a coupling part (26) which is connected to the lamp housing (11) in a manner which is self-closed and secure against rotation. The braking cone (21, 34) is located in this arrangement on an end of an articulated bolt (38) which penetrates the articulation and clamps the two parts to one another, whereas at the other end of the articulated bolt an opening (37) is provided for guiding through the connecting lines (44) between the lower part (10) and lamp housing (11). <IMAGE>
