Abstract

623,125. Stands. COUTANT, A. C., and MATHOT, J. March 13, 1947, No. 6986. Convention date, March 13, 1946. [Class 52 (iii)] In a tripod in which a camera support is adjustably secured to a table the table is removably secured to the tripod stand and is provided with means whereby it may be'clamped to the tripod stand and, when removed, to another article. The tripod stand comprises an annulus 1 within which rests the table 5. The table 5 is provided with a downwardly projecting pair of arms 18 whereby the table may be clamped to the tripod stand by means of screw-operated clamping plates 19, 20 engaging an integral portion 22 of the tripod stand or these clamping plates may be secured to an occasional vertical support such as a gate &c. when the table has been removed from the tripod stand. An additional pair of arms 14 is provided whereby the removed table may be clamped to an occasional support by means of the clamping plates 15, 16 and this pair of arms is arranged to be detached from the table 5 by depressing a headed bolt 24 to enable the pair of arms to be withdrawn through the slot 23. The camera support is adjustably held against the projections 7 by a bolt 9 the nut of which is operated by a pivot 10 through spindle 11 and bevel gears.
