Easel, tripod, and like stands. - A stand adapted to be used for various purposes, such as a camera stand, an artist's easel, and a music rest, comprises a folding tripod, the head of which is provided with a platform b<1> to support a camera &c., a transverse rest f being vertically adjustable on a bar d extending from the head of the stand to a stretcher-bar c carried by two of the legs a. The transverse rest f has a pin-and-slot connexion with a vertically-adjustable bar e having a pin- and-slot connexion with the bar d and a tongue- and-groove connexion with the head of the stand. A finger-piece p to engage the article mounted on the rest f is pivoted to an adjustable block o having a tongue-and-slot connexion with the bar e.
