Tread bands, projections, and surfaces; tyre attachments to rims.-Two or more pneumatic tyres 3, whether carried on single or multiple wheels, are fitted with one or more solid treads 8 mounted over, and preferably vulcanized to, fabric, leather, or like flexible bands 5. The bands 5 are either vulcanized to the tyres, or extend to and are secured to the rim or rims 7, as by hooks 6 and adjustable buckles 13, or by means of side rings and transverse bolts.
