Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and pneumatic, rubber-ring, and like cushions.-A rigid metal hoop d embedded in the rubber tyre b is formed with side flanges e which extend to the tread. The flanges e may be braced at intervals by wires E, preferably inclined as shown. Holes f are formed in the hoop d, the edges being flanged at g to increase the adhesion of the rubber. The latter may be formed with air-cells to increase the resilience; or a pneumatic cushion may be fitted between it and the rim a. The side flanges e may be corrugated.
