Pneumatic and non-pneumatic tyres side by side.-A tyre comprises one or more solid rubber treads A integral with side-flaps B forming covers for pneumatic tubes C or spongy rubber fillings D. The periphery of the solid portion is normally within that of the pneumatic &c. portion so as to constitute an emergency support. The tyre may be secured by radial set-screws a engaging nuts embedded in the solid portion of the tyre.
