Abstract

178,464. Neithard, H. R. April 13, 1921, [Convention date]. Means for excluding stones and the like from between twin tyres; tread bands.-To prevent stones &c. from lodging between twin tyres, a rubber ring a, preferably reinforced with canvas, is fitted between the tyres so as to leave a space between the tyres or between these and the side walls of the ring. The ring may be reinforced with wires and, as shown in Fig. 2, may extend between the tyres to the rim.
