Block tyres.-A resilient tread for use on the ribbed metal tyres b of tractor &c. wheels consists of rubber blocks e vulcanized &c. to metal - carrier a adapted to fit, over the existing ribs b<1> and formed with box-like enlargements a<3>, a<4> adapted to engage in the rim grooves b<2>. The devices are secured to the wheel by radial bolts c and set-screws d passing through the rim b into the carrier parts a<3>, a<4>, as shown in Fig. 3.
