Abstract

293,557. Michel, S. I. D. June 23, 1927. Agricultural-machine and like rims, adapting for use on roads. - Tractor &c. wheels having grooved rims are fitted with elastic tread blocks a which are bolted in the grooves b<1> when the vehicle is to be used on roads, Fig. 1, or may be swung into inoperative position at the side of the wheel, Fig. 3. In the construction shown, the blocks are fitted with angle-plates a<1> which are bolted to brackets c pivoted on a ring d secured to the wheel. The top-plate c<1> of each bracket may have a series of holes to permit adjustable attachment of the block. The device may be used on a wheel having certain tread blocks. mounted as described in Specification 267,299, [Class 144 (ii), Wheel tyres, Pneumatic &c.].
