Abstract

176,482. Brown, L., and Macintosh & Co., Ltd., C. Dec. 4, 1920. Temporary rims for adapting agricultural-machine and like wheels for use on roads. - A rubber tyre for use on a tractor &c. wheel having staggered spuds G is formed in curved sections A which, when assembled, form a sinuous tread as shown. Each section A has a vulcanite backing B' vulcanized to a metal base-plate B. The plates B are formed with lugs C, staples D or bolts being passed through meeting pairs of lugs to secure the tvre sections to the wheel rim F. The construction admits of removing or fitting the tyre sections A without interference with the spuds G, or vice versa.
