Abstract

189,915. MacLeay, G. Sept. 26, 1921. Endless-track vehicles.-A series of plates 6, formed with central flanges 5, are jointed together and placed round the periphery of a wheel so that the flanges 5 engage in a peripheral groove 2 of the wheel, the device forming an endless rotating track which is carried and laid down by the wheel as it advances. The groove 2 may be formed by maintaining twin tyres 3, 3<a> on the wheel as shown, or by shaping the felloe. To increase adhesion and strengthen the plates 6, batteries 7 may be provided.
