Abstract
5997. Montgomery, T. B., and Lochok, A. March 11. Blowpipe burners.-In oxy-acetylene blowpipes the combining head 10 is cast in one piece and provided with ducts 12, 14, 15 as shown, and with means of attachment for the oxygen supply pipe 6, acetylene supply pipe 7, and the nozzle 11. The supply pipes 6, 7 are held together by a clamp 20, Fig. 1, which is in halves held together by a screw or bolt at the middle, and ordinary needle valves 4, 5 are provided. An enlarged chamber 9 containing asbestos wool is provided on the acetylene pipe to prevent back-firing.
