Atmospheric gas burners; blowpipe burners.-A gas nipple for use with an atmospheric burner for heating or brazing metals by high or low pressure coal or producer gas, and adaptable also for use as a blowpipe burner, comprises a shell a with a gas inlet a' and jet b, which may be closed or opened respectively for use with high or low pressure gas by a hollow screwed spindle c provided with an aperture c<3> and jet c<1>. In the apparatus shown, air under pressure is supplied through a valve d' to the spindle c, but in a modification, the lower end of the spindle is closed and provided with a hand-wheel
