Atmospheric vapour burners; vaporizing-apparatus.-A cleaning-needle 14 and valve 23 for a vapour burner are mounted on a stem 13 actuated by a diaphragm 1 controlled by the vapour. The steam is enclosed in an inner tube 3 within the outer casing 18 of the vaporizing- tube, the vapour, after passing through a porous diaphragm 4, having access to the diaphragm 1 through the space between the stem 13 and tube 3. The needle is operated by fluctuations of pressure to clean the outlet 22, and this is closed when the supply of vapour is stopped. A stud 16, in conjunction with a lever &c., is provided to enable the cleaning-needle to be operated by hand.
