Abstract

Atmospheric vapour burners; vaporizing-apparatus.-Relates to oil-stoves of the kind comprising an annular vaporizer formed with an inclined inner deflecting-surface upon which impinge the flames from a burner having a perforated cylindrical head and a central tubular stem through which vapour passes from the vaporizer by way of a needle valve together with the necessary air. The vaporizer a, Fig. 1, is a substantial bronze ring provided with two bosses b, Fig. 3, having horizontal passages c which communicate with the supply pipe g by pipes f, and with the nipple n, by a loop of tubing l. A cock i, preferably of the screwdown type controls the supply of fuel. Soot or other deposit is pushed away from the nipple m by a needle valve n, Fig. 4, which is operated by a lever or screw. The burner q is of light construction and has a rounded top r.
