19,301. Mangiameli, F. Aug 21. Blowpipe burners.-In a severing - burner for metals, the oxygen-supply is divided into a heating- current and a severing- current just before their utilization. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the central oxygen - supply pipe b terminates in a short tube c or washer of smaller diameter, and part of the oxygen passes through holes f and mixes with the combustible, while the remainder passes through the tube or washer and serves as the severing-current.
