23,767. Smokeless Economizers, Ltd., Bennett, C. G. M., and Smith, S. H. Oct. 17. S t e a m - p r e s s u r e sprayers; nozzles for producing w h i r l i n g sprays. - Steam passes from a jacket 1 around an oil-supply passage 2 by a pipe 17 to a central jet 18, which induces a supply of air through a sleeve 8. This is adjusted by a hand-wheel 12 and formed with a flange 9 provided with slots or fine perforations 10, which, according to the Provisional Specification, may be drilled so as to cause the issuing fuel to whirl. A perforated flange 23 on the pipe 17 closes the perforated end of the sleeve 8, and a chamber 20 adapted to serve as a hit-and-miss air-regulator is mounted on it. Gills may be provided on the pipe 17 to assist in the heating of the induced air.
