Spray carburettors.-In carburretors in which the air-valve is lifted by suction and falls by gravity, the motion of the air-valve c is damped by the liquid fuel admitted to the chamber g below the valve stem d. The fuel enters and leaves this chamber through a restricted annular passage g<1>. A comparatively large nozzle r, sinuous air-ducts t, s, in the valve head e, a regulating-pin p, and a passage to control the air pressure in the float chamber are also described.
