Control Of The Air-Fuel Ratio Of Carburetors
(AREA)
Abstract
18,870. Watchorn, R., [Stewart, A. C.]. Sept. 19, 1910. Spray carburettors.-In carburettors in which the air-valve is raised by suction and falls by gravity, the said air-valve e carries a nozzle r of comparatively large bore, which dips into a well q formed in the valve stem and communicating with the float chamber k through passages o, i and a passage controlled by an adjustable pin p. The valve head has air-passages t terminating in an annular passage s around the nozzle, the top of which is considerably above the fuel level. A cork float l pivoted at m, and a passage to control the air pressure in the float chamber, are also described. Specification 17,309/05 is referred to.
