Abstract

29,812. Tooth, L. F. Dec. 22. Atmospheric gas burners.-The internal air supply of an atmospheric gas-burner is controlled by a conical valve 5, which coacts with a chamber 1, and is operated by a screw-spindle 6 to effect the desired control by regulating the flow of the mixed gases to the burner head 3. A pipe 7 open at both ends, serves to supply the interior of the flame with air, and a disk 10, adjustably carried on a rod 11, serves to control the amount of air passing up t h e pipe. The burner is specially applicable for furnace work. According to t h e Provisional Specification, the valve may be fixed and the chamber and air pipe movable.
