Atmospheric gas burners.-A device for regulating the quantity and velocity of flow of a fluid, particularly designed for use with gas burners, comprises a main valve 2 controlling the supply to a tube 5 provided with two passages 7, 12, the proportion of fluid passing through the main passage 7 to that passing through the supplementary passage being adjusted by screw-operated valves 11, 14. The main passage may be closed by an apertured plate 8, and the supplementary passage may be fitted with an extension projecting into the mixing-tube of the burner, or the mixing-tube may be formed with a flared mouth.
