Abstract

5842. Brown, T. W., and Tilley, F. C. March 8. Pressure-regulating valves. - A gas-governor for regulating the supply of gas to a by-pass burner comprises a casing 1 having a passage 2 for the main gas supply adapted to be regulated by a plug cock 11. A passage 10 connects the casing of the plug cock to a chamber closed on one side by a diaphragm 9 which supports a valve 8. The outlet side 6 of the valve 8 communicates with the by-pass by a pipe 7. The diaphragm is held in place by a cover 1<a> which carries a screw 13 for adjusting the opening of the valve.
