Abstract

1364271 Gas burner fuel regulators HONEYWELL Inc 5 Aug 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 36948/71 Heading F4T [Also in Divisions G3 and F2] A pressure regulator for controlling the flow of gas to main and pilot burners has a main valve 16 connected to a diaphragm 19 having its lower face subjected to the pressure from an inlet 12 and its upper face to the pressure in the pilot outlet 24 which is supplied through a further pressure regulator 34. The value of the pressure in the outlet 24 may be varied by adjustment of a nut 39 which acts on a diaphragm 35 for the regulator 34 through a loading spring 37. The effect of inlet pressure on the closure member of the valve 16 is counterbalanced by the pressure in an expandable chamber 30a communicating with the inlet through a passage in the valve stem. A further valve 41 in the main outlet 13 is coupled to an actuator 43. In a modification, the regulator 34 is omitted and the space above the diaphragm is connected by a vent to atmosphere.
