Valves controlled from a distance.-Relates to means for varying the sensitiveness of a device for operating the valves of gas-burners of the kind in which a temporary rise in the gas pressure lifts an auxiliary valve such as 9 when the pressure reaches a predetermined limit to admit gas to a diaphragm 4 for actuating the main valve supplying gas to the burners. The valve member 9 is made detachable and interchangeable, and the valve seat 14 is made of a greater diameter than the largest valve member used. By this means, the increase in the area of the auxiliary pressure member 10 exposed to the gas pressure acting against the loading-spring 12 when the valve 9 is open can be varied as desired.
