Valves controlled from a distance.-Relates to a device for controlling from a distance the operation of a gas-valve supplying a burner of the kind in which the gas-valve is operated by gas at normal pressure supplied through a supplementary pipe. A diaphragm 23, which forms the gas-valve, is kept open by the pressure of the gas supplied through the pipe 11, gas passing through conduits 28, 13 to the burner. To close the valve, gas is supplied through a supplementary valve 33 and tube 30 to a chamber 29 provided with a diaphragm 18 of larger surface than that of the diaphragm 23. The diaphragms are thus lifted, the diaphragm 23 sealing the inlet pipe 24 and cutting off the gas supply to the burner. To open the valve 23 again, the auxiliary valve 33 is turned to put the chamber 29 in communication with the atmosphere.
