Balance or differential gearing.-In a variablespeed and reversing toothed gear of the constant-mesh type, suitable for motor-vehicles, in which the driving-shaft A, Fig. 1, is in line with the driven shaft B, the whole of the gear is enclosed in a, casing M, which is extended so as to enclose also the balance gearing as shown in Fig. 2. This balance gearing comprises bevel planetary pinions N' connected through bevelgear pairs N<6>, N<3> and N', N<4> with the roadwheel part axles N5. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 16,961/ 07.
