Abstract

12,151. Baveystock, A. R. H. May 22. Hand-propelled vehicles for children. In baby-cars having pivoted cross - frames connected by arm-rests, these are connected to one of the frames by short links, which are fixed at one end to the frame while their other ends are capable of sliding in grooves in the arms as the vehicle is folded. Fig. 3 shows a link g fixed to the front frame b and capable of sliding in a groove h, formed in the arm-rest f. The opening in the groove is partially closed by a strip of metal j, as shown in Fig. 4, so as to engage a pin i on the link g and prevent the link from leaving the groove. A notch k is formed in each link g to engage a pin l in the arm, so as to lock the car in its open position; or a notch may be made in each strip j to engage the pin i. The links g may be secured to the rear frame a instead of to the front frame.
