Abstract

20,916. House, A. J. Sept. 13. Folding vehicles of the kind in which the folding wheel-carrying frames are held in the travelling position by folding strut members. The struts are each formed in two parts 4, 5 hinged together, and the parts 4 of the two struts on the same side of the vehicle are formed in one piece with a longitudinally-extendingconnecting member 4<a>. The end of each part 5 is bent over to form a stop 5<a> which bears against the part 4. To each member 4<a> isattached a loop 8 which engages a hook 7 on the lower end of the central vertical folding member 6, and the two members 6 are operated from the handle frame 9 through links 10. The parts are locked in the travelling position by hinged stays 12.
