Valves; valve-gear. - A revolving-cylinder engine comprises a rotor carrying a number of cylinders c arranged round the axis of rotation, and double-ended pistons d working in the cylinders and provided with projections d<2> running in a cam track d<3> on the fixed casing a. Adjacent to each cylinder c is a small cylinder h communicating therewith by a port o controlled by a hollow piston valve i. The valve is reciprocated by a projection i<1> engaging a cam track j on the casing a. When the valve is in its outer position, fluid enters the cylinder c by ports p, q in the valve and the port o. Projections on the pistons d slide in guides g and prevent rotation of the pistons in the cylinders.
