18,392. Johnston, C. F. R. Sept. 14. Wringing-machines.-Relates to feeding-apparatus for wringers constructed to prevent liability of the operator's hands being drawn between the rollers. A frame d pivoted at e and provided with a counterweight g, carries rollers b, c supporting an endless band a. When the frame is moved into the position indicated by dotted lines, an endless band a is driven by contact with the upper roller f, and the articles upon it are fed into the machine. In a modification, the counterweight is arranged below the frame in such a manner as to hold the band either away from the upper roller or in contact with it.
