Abstract
120,316. Stephenson, R. Feb. 8, 1918. Nap, raising.-In nap-raising machines for treating made-up articles such as gloves that are fed to the raising-rollers 1, 2 by a pair of driven feed-rollers 3, 4, the goods are conveyed to the feed-rollers by an endless band 6 passed around the lower feed-roller and supported by a rod or roller 9 remote from the feed-roller. The roller 9 is adjustably mounted to regulate the tension of the band 6, which passes through a slot in the work-table 5. An idle roller or shaft 8 engages the lower run of the band 6. An endless feed band 15 driven by the upper roller 3 and supported by idle rollers 16, 17 may be provided.
