Steam regenerative accumulators.-In a plant comprising a motor T receiving steam from a boiler p through a valve Oit and exhausting into a pipe line L2 containing a steam regenerative accumulator A, the motor is the only consumer receiving steam directly from the boiler. The pipe line L<2> supplies steam to a paper mill M or the like through a reducing valve Ra2. Steam may pass from the boiler steam pipe into the pipe line L2 through an over-flow valve Oia which starts to open only when the valve Oit is fully open. A reducing valve Ria in a pipe connecting the boiler steam pipe and the pipe line L2 opens when the pressure in the pipe line drops to its lowest value.
