Steam regenerative accumulators. - Superheated steam is supplied through a valve i and conduits g, h to conduits d, e arranged within a steam regenerative accumulator a. the conduit d having pipes k which open in an upward direction into open-ended tubes l, while the conduits e communicate with nozzles m. Normally, the superheated steam passes through the conduits g, d to the tubes l and the steam generated is directed on to the surface of the water in the accumulator by the nozzles l'. When the pressure in the accumulator falls, the valve i is actuated so as to by-pass a portion of the superheated steam to the. nozzles m. The conduits g, hare connected by a pipe o in which is arranged an automatic or hand-operated valve for by-passing the superheated steam to the nozzles m.
