Abstract

247,803. Steere, F. W. May 19, 1925. Producers.-In water gas plant, a water spray 13 is provided at the top of the superheater 6 in order to supply steam for a " down run," and a second spray 20 is provided below the grate 8 for use during an " up run." The superheater is connected to a wash-box 7 by a pipe 19 fitted with a pivoted valve 18 which enables a connection to be made directly between the wash-box and the space below the grate. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 21028/92, 109,323, and 233,038.
