336,272. Jendrusik, A. May 11, 1929. Overheating of superheating tubes, preventing. -Superheated steam from the header 1 of a smoke-tube superheater in a locomotive or like boiler is forced by a pump 3 through a pipe 10 into the boiler water. The pump may be driven from a wheel 4 pressed by a hand lever 6 against a wheel of the locomotive. A valve 12 operated from the cab of the locomotive allows the steam to pass wholly or partly to the engine or the pump 3. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 121,726.
