Abstract

183,962. Wohlers, E. May 25, 1921. Spray carburettors. -Two tubular members f, g, the inner one having a conical end surrounding the fuel nozzle c<1>, are formed with corresponding air inlet openings f<1>, g<1> and are adjustable to vary simultaneously the air inlet openings, the crosssectional area of the air passage at the nozzle and the volumes of the chambers I, II. The mixture is withdrawn by suction through the annular diverging orifice S<1>. The inner member f is preferably adjusted by rotation of a disc j having a spiral groove i which engages radial projection h on the member f, which is prevented from rotation by longitudinal slots o on the member g.
