Abstract

364,581. Spray carburetters. PAETZOLD, A., 3, Hertelstrasse, Friedenau, Berlin. Aug. 1, 1930, No. 23212. [Class 7 (iii).] An atomizer a with conical head b is secured by a threaded collar c, and supplies emulsion to a transverse sprayer tube n with delivery orifice o. About midway of its length the atomizer has bores p leading to a slo'w-running nozzle j, and the collar has an annular groove d which communicates on one hand with an air passage l with connecting nozzle m, and on the other through bores k with the interior g of the atomizer. At the lower end of the atomizer is a constricted orifice f with flared inlet e which communicates through duct i with a calibrated orifice h fed from the float chamber. The atomizer may be replaced by others having bores of different sizes to vary the proportions of air to fuel in the mixture.
