Abstract

Phosphoric acid is obtained from mineral phosphate which has been heated to about 800 DEG C. in a retort or muffle so as to carbonize the organic matter. According to the Provisional Specification when the phosphate contains very little organic matter, organic matter may be added so as to produce enough carbon to decolorize the phosphoric acid.ALSO:Phosphoric acid is obtained from mineral phosphate which has been heated to about 800 DEG C. in a retort or muffle so as to carbonize the organic matter. According to the Provisional Specification, when the phosphate contains very little organic matter, organic matter may be added so as to produce enough carbon to decolorize the phosphoric acid.
