Abstract

330,745. McBryde, W. May 24, 1929. Refractory substances.-The carbon in carbonized clays, which have been produced by the process of Specification 149,440, is removed by oxidation. Preferably the oxidation is effected during or immediately after the production of refractory units by introducing preheated air into the firing-kiln.
