Wheel guards, obstruction-removers, and safety appliances - A wheel guard for each front wheel of a vehicle comprises a fixed member B resiliently supporting a movable member A which descends toward the ground on meeting an obstruction The member B is supported on both sides of the wheel by stays C, the inside stays being cramped to the stub axle and the outer stays to a ball race attached to the hub of the wheel. The member A is supported by links D and is maintained in position by a spring L. One end of the spring is fixed to the member B and the other is recessed to receive a semi-spherical bolt head F fixed to the member A. The lower part of the member A carries a wheel or roller W to prevent damage on contact with the ground.
