Abstract

355,388. Spring wheels. HOLMES, N. J., 1, Chaucer Street, Moonee Pcnds, and TAYLOR, C., 34, Ferrars Place, Albert Park, both in Victoria, Australia. June 2, 1930, No. 17015. [Class 144 (i).] The side-plates 14, which enclose a pneumatic cushion 10 fitted between the wheel-rim 7 and the outer tyre-carrying rim 1, are guided between the wheel body and a pair of discs 24, 25 secured to the wheel. Rubbing surfaces are provided by metal plates 19 on the wheel and asbestos &c. plates secured to the side discs. The latter are adjustably connected by bolts 26 which may be formed with collars 28 to receive pins 29 pivoted on the wheelrim.
