Magneto-electric machines; casings.-An ignition magneto or other small electrical machine has the magnet pole-pieces and other stationary metallic parts moulded in a housing of insulating material adapted to enclose the machine at both ends and entirely to surround the armature. Figs. 1 and 3 show a magneto having pole-pieces 2, ball race 3, terminal screws 4, and fixing bosses 5, secured as inserts in a housing 1. Phenolic condensation products are suitable insulating materials for the housing.
