Abstract

Magnetoelectric machines.-In a magneto provided with a rotor comprising a tubular permanent magnet having pole-pieces co-operating with a single stationary armature coil, laminated' fingers 1 are secured to ring pole-pieces 2 on the magnet 3 and the cylindrical form of the rotor is completed by a filling of insulating- material 5. The pole-pieces, which may also be laminated, and the fingers may be moulded together in the insulating-material and thereafter assembled' as a unit upon the magnet. Recesses 2<A> in the pole-pieces and similar recesses in the fingers may be provided for holding the insulating- material, and the fingers may be rounded off or parallel as at 1<B>.
