Abstract

179,133. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Ges. April 11, 1921, [Convention date]. Balancing.-In a two-rope winding system in which one winding-drum is adjustable relatively to the other for working at different levels, the pulley 3 driving the balance rope, 4 is connected to the two winding-drums 1, 2 through differential gear 17, so that when one drum is adjusted the balance rope is also adjusted automatically, the pulley 3 being rotated half as much as the adjusted drum. According to the Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), carriers may be attached to the ends of the auxiliary rope from which the balance rope is suspended, for the con. veyance of workmen and tools. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
